Rio Las Vegas set for $850m Renovation
Dreamscape Companies renovation of Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas will create two divisions of resort casino businesses through $850m of raised capital.
Dreamscape will use the financing to reimagine the two-tower structure, restoring it into a premiere resort experience with modernised amenities.

CANADA - Konami Gaming has announced a mix of original game series, game cabinets, and systems technology arriving at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention in San Diego, on March 29-30.
The industry’s first and only large top box machine with a curved display is making its Indian Gaming Tradeshow debut. DIMENSION TOP Box is landing at the event for the first time, ahead of the machine’s market release later this year. It is joined by four other unique DIMENSION cabinet form factors, each featuring a pipeline of original game series.
ONTARIO– Twain Sport, the newly launched live sport vertical from the Hybrid Sports League and BetGames, is set to make its entry into Ontario’s online market following licence approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The certification paves the way for Twain Sport to roll out its offering with operators and continue its global growth agyer recently expanding its content provision with the launch of T-Kick, a football- focused release which delivers 6,300 matches each month.
MISSISSIPPI – International Game Technology has expanded its sports betting footprint in Mississippi with the deployment of its PlaySports technology at Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel in Biloxi. Under the terms of the agreement, Treasure Bay converted its former retail sportsbook platform to the proven IGT PlaySports solution, including on-premise mobile technology, and IGT’s PlaySports trading advisory services.
“Converting to IGT’s high-performing PlaySports technology allows Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel to enhance our current sportsbook offering and engage players with new avenues for betting,” explained Jeff Prusinowski, Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel Biloxi, MS., Corporate Vice President of Operations. “The addition of on-premise mobile betting provides superior player convenience, enabling patrons to place wagers from almost anywhere within our casino property.”
NEW JERSEY – Atlantic City’s casinos generated GGR of $211.6m from in-person gamblers in January, marking an increase of 15.3 per cent from the $183.6m generated in January 2022. Only three of Atlantic City’s nine casinos generated more last month than they did in the pre-pandemic month of January 2019.
The Borgata generated $58.3m, an increase of 20.6 per cent from January 2022, whilst Hard Rock generated $35.9m, up 3.4 per cent and the Ocean Casino Resort generated $30.5m, up 26.4 per cent.

Dreamscape Companies, a New York-based real estate development and investment firm, has said it will renovate its Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and create two divisions of resort casino businesses with $850m of capital it has raised.
Te capital raised will launch two independent Dreamscape platforms: Dreamscape Entertainment Properties, an experiential real estate investment trust that will own gaming, hospitality and entertainment assets, and Dreamscape Entertainment Integrated Resorts, an operator of gaming, hospitality and entertainment assets.
Tese new, independent Dreamscape platforms will focus on investing and operating in strategically located, high-barrier-to-entry markets with asymmetric growth potential. Te success of this latest capital raise demonstrates Dreamscape’s commitment to diversifying its capabilities and deepening its presence in key markets throughout the US.

Te capital raise will also finance a multi-phase renovation of Dreamscape’s first gaming property, the iconic Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. Te company acquired the property in late 2019 from Caesars Entertainment, contemporaneously entering into a sale lease- back with Caesars to operate the property.
As the first all-suite hotel to hit the Las Vegas Strip in 1990, the resort holds a prominent position in the city’s storied past. With the intent to preserve the property’s bones and honour its legacy, Dreamscape will use the financing to reimagine the two-tower structure, restoring it into a premiere resort and casino experience with modernised amenities and an array of offerings that speak to today’s gaming and hospitality consumer.
Arizona Over 100m online bets placed on Super Bowl LVII
GeoComply conducted a record 100m geolocation checks across 23 US states and the District of Columbia with legal, online sports betting during Super Bowl LVII weekend. Tis was the first Super Bowl to take place in a state with legal sports betting.
New York topped all states with 13.9 million GeoComply geolocation checks over Super Bowl weekend. GeoComply registered 7.4 million accounts over the weekend. Tis is a 32 per cent increase from last year. GeoComply’s data shows more than 100,000 geolocation checks in and around State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, from over 8,000 fan sportsbook accounts.
“Super Bowl LVII was a record- breaking event,” explained GeoComply Co-Founder & CEO Anna Sainsbury. “GeoComply data reveals that Americans’ interest in legally betting on the Super Bowl has never been higher. It also
showed that many fans at State Farm Stadium embraced their newfound ability to bet while watching the game in person.”
Super Bowl LVII’s venue and the home regions of the two competing teams had galvanising effects on legal betting activity in the respective states. Sports betting is legal in Arizona, where State Farm Stadium is located, and huge swaths of Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs fans hail from legal sports betting strongholds.
Kansas launched online sports betting in September 2022, but the Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium and many of its fans are located in Missouri, where sports betting is not yet legal. Over Super Bowl weekend, GeoComply recorded 2.2 million legal sports betting geolocation transactions in Kansas and Missourians attempted to access legal sportsbooks in other states a quarter-of-a-million times and were blocked from betting.

Everi Digital, the online gaming business of Everi Holdings, has entered into an agreement with Caesars Sportsbook & Casino to provide its online gaming content for the operator’s real- money online gaming operations.
