Entain Retail Betting Business Rebounds
AUSTRIA – GoldenRace has signed an exclusive partnership with win2day, the online brand of the Austrian Lotteries, in a deal that will see players gain access to the provider’s virtual football and horse races. The deal has seen GoldenRace become the only virtual sports provider in the Austrian market.
“I am very happy that one of my biggest business goals finally came true to work in my home country, and that we have been selected from such a great company like the Austrian Lottery,” commented Martin Wachter, GoldenRace CEO and Founder. “To work with win2day shows again that more and more ‘big players’ in the industry chose us as their first address in regards to virtual sports. I am sure that this partnership will become a great success in Austria.”
Matthias Soucek, win2day Product Manager, stated: “With the virtual games, win2day is opening up a new, popular segment in its portfolio and is thus living up to its reputation of offering its users a multi-faceted, modern gambling offer. We are convinced that this new offer will meet with a lot of approval from our customers.”
UK – Optimove has appointed Peter Miles as the company's Director of Sales overseeing enterprise sales for the iGaming and iLottery markets. The selection furthers the company's strategic
investment in expanding its customer base as a key growth engine for the business.
MALTA – BETER, provider of next- gen betting and gaming solutions, has strengthened its commercial team to deliver its market expansion plans with the appointment of Yori Arami as Chief
Revenue Officer.
HOLLAND – Stakelogic’ Stakelogic Live product has now also received ISO 27001 accreditation. The accreditation means that both operators who host the company’s live casino games and the players who play them can do so knowing that the information security management systems that underpin them are among the safest in the online gaming industry.
The award of ISO 27001 accreditation also carries a lot of sway with online regulators, who deem it to be an indication of a company going above and beyond the mandatory GDPR protocols. This in turn helps brands like Stakelogic Live build further trust in the industry, potentially paving the way for them to extend their reach and obtain supplier licenses for other regulated markets in future.

“From the evidence we have seen, we believe that the Gambling Commission has become imbibed with an
range of £875m to £885m, ahead of previous expectations. Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Entain’s CEO, commented: “2021 has been a successful and eventful period for Entain, and our market- leading platform has driven another year of strong, sustainable and diversified growth. overtly anti-gambling ideology and is actively seeking to ‘get the industry’. From the evidence we have seen, we believe that the Gambling Commission has turned into what appears to be an industry-funded anti- gambling activist group,” it said. “We believe the regulator has gone ‘rogue’ and this anti- gambling culture comes from the top and permeates down and is even a reason for recruiting staff.”
“We also believe that unless the it grasps the opportunity of having a new Chair and CEO and resetting its strategy, focus and culture, if left unchecked, the Commission will destroy one of the most reputable gambling industry’s in the world and will force tens of thousands of people, some extremely vulnerable, into the illegal black market where they will get no protection from criminality or problem gambling.”
