Wynn Resorts eyes UAE Venture
Marjan, RAK Hospitality and Wynn Resorts have announced a multi-billion dollar integrated resort including a ‘gaming area’ on the man-made Al Marjan Island.
Te new resort is in the initial stages of design and development and will be applying for an integrated resort licence from Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Authority.

ROMANIA – Superbet CEO, Johnny Hartnett, has told Bloomberg that the Romanian betting and gaming company, backed by alternative investment firm, Blackstone, has plans to expand within Europe and Canada in the near-term.
The news follows results posted by Superbet that showed the company’s core business had doubled in size last year. Superbet is present in 10 European markets, generating revenues of €1bn in 2021 and a profit of more than €200m.
Last year, Superbet purchased Napoleon Sports & Casino, Belgium’s third largest player, and is now a market leader in the country following the €350m acquisition. Started in 2008 by Romanian entrepreneur Sasha Dragic, who is still the majority shareholder and executive chairman, Blackstone bought an unspecified, strategic minority stake for €175m in 2019. Hartnett stated in the interview that he doesn’t expect further financial backing from Blackstone, but that the company could move forward with an IPO in the future.
UK – Vivo Gaming has strengthened its senior leadership team after appointing Martin Hodges to the role of Marketing Director. Hodges joins the company having already spent 11
successful years in the iGaming industry.
UK – OKTO has underlined its commitment to the UK market with the appointment of experienced gaming industry senior executive Rob Peché to the post of UK Country Manager. In
this new role Rob will oversee UK commercial activities and drive the digital transformation of the UK gaming, leisure, and entertainment industries.
UK – Pronet Gaming has boosted its offering with the integration of a bet stimulation tool from sports data solutions provider LSports. LSports’ BetBooster tool generates automated betting tips based on historical data, live-score and AI analysis, covering both pre-match and in-play markets across seven sports and with complete bet slip integration, and has been proven to increase user engagement, retention and turnover rates.
Bobby Longhurst, Chief Commercial Officer at Pronet Gaming, said: “The Bet Assist product from LSports provides automated betting tips that can be integrated directly onto betting slips and has been proven to increase engagement among bettors. I am certain this new partnership will prove beneficial for all stakeholders, not least from the operator side.”

Belgium Tom Horn Gaming partners with Napoleon
Tom Horn Gaming has revealed its latest content-based partnership with online operator Napoleon Sports & Casino, which strengthens its presence in the Belgian market.
Te tie-up will enable the latter to gradually introduce a selection of the provider’s slot games to its igaming roster. Wolf Sierra and Te Secret of Ba are first games available to Napoleon’s players with other titles, including 243 Crystal Fruits or Gold X, to follow suit in the coming weeks.

Fortuna Entertainment Group has launched content from OpenBet’s SportCast business across its online and retail operations within a host of European markets.
Fortuna is now live with BetBuilder in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, along with its PSK (Prva Sportska Kladionica) and Casa Pariurilor brands in Croatia and Romania respectively.
As part of a new deal, Fortuna has deployed SportCast’s BetBuilder product, which allows consumers to build their own bets within a single event across hundreds of markets, with on-demand pricing delivered through a user interface.
Marjan, RAK Hospitality Holding and Wynn Resorts have announced a multi-billion dollar integrated resort including a ‘gaming area’ on the man-made Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
Al Marjan Island, already a tourism destination, is only 15 minutes from the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and 45 minutes from the Dubai International Airport. Comprising four islands, Al Marjan Island welcomes visitors with over 7.8km of beaches and 23km of waterfront in addition to world-class hotels and residential developments.
Al Marjan Island spans an area of 2.7 million sq.m of reclaimed land extending into the Arabian Gulf. Te new integrated resort on one of the exclusive islands, which covers an area of almost 250,000 sqm, will offer a pristine setting with views of the Arabian Gulf as well as sandy beaches and a marina.
Te development is the first beach resort being developed by Wynn Resorts globally.
Te current scope includes a 1,000+ room hotel, high-end shopping mall, a state-of-the-art meeting and convention facility, an exclusive spa, more than 10 restaurants and lounges, a
wide array of entertainment choices, a gaming area, and other amenities.
Te integrated resort will be developed with significant foreign direct investment by Wynn Resorts. As the largest project of its kind in the Emirate’s growing hospitality sector, it will create substantial value to the local economy by accelerating tourism, creating jobs, and energising the growth of related sectors. Set to be completed in 2026, the entire project will be developed to the highest standards of sustainability best practices.
