Flutter Revenue Exceeds £2bn


Flutter Entertainment has cited the influence of the FanDuel brand after recording 13 per cent revenue growth to over £2bn in the third quarter.


Despite record revenue across the Group, Australia saw a revenue decline with an estimated mid- single digit decline in the overall market across the year.

Switzerland - Sportradar secures tender Sportradar has been selected as the official technology and services provider to Caribbean CAGE LLC, as the Caribbean and Latin American gaming company seeks to establish a sports betting offering for bettors in multiple jurisdictions including Antigua- Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, and St. Kitts-Nevis. The multi-year agreement follows a competitive tender process.


Sportradar is fully implementing ORAKO, its player account management (PAM) and sports betting solution, to launch a customisable omnichannel sportsbook offering that allows the CAGE Companies to engage bettors in multiple jurisdictions through one integration, while delivering a consistent betting experience across retail, desktop, and mobile web channels.


The ORAKO solution provides a single point of access to Sportradar’s portfolio of betting products and services, allowing operators to choose how they configure their sportsbook. The CAGE Companies has opted to set-up its sports betting offering with Managed Trading Services (MTS).

Flutter Entertainment has cited the influence of the FanDuel brand for increasing player acquisition as the Group recorded 13 per cent revenue growth to over £2bn in the third quarter.


In the US, the combination of FanDuel and Flutter delivered an increase of 37 per cent in new sports betting and iGaming players in Q3 when compared with the prior year, including a 13 per cent increase in states launched pre-2022.


In the UK and Ireland, sports revenue grew six per cent and retail revenue rose by nine per cent, benefitting from a good start to the Premier League season and an enhanced product proposition and increased Betbuilder adoption.


However, Australia saw revenue decline seven per cent as sportsbook stakes were nine per cent lower. Te Group acknowledged that there isn't likely to be a turnaround soon with a 'softer racing market' now expected to persist into 2024, resulting in an estimated mid-single digit decline in the overall market across the year.

Ireland Majority of public against betting ban


Tree quarters of the Irish public are against the outright ban of betting in Ireland. Research comes as the Government’s Gambling Regulation Bill 2022 enters the final stage of the legislative process.


Te research conducted by Ireland Tinks on behalf of Lottoland, a leading online lotto betting operator licensed in the Republic of Ireland, shows that while 74 per cent of those surveyed supported the Government’s plans to introduce greater regulation of the gambling sector, (64 per cent) believe people should be free to gamble responsibly.


Of those that currently bet, almost one fifth (19 per cent) would seek alternative methods of gambling in the event that gambling is restricted in Ireland. Tis mirrors the results found in a recent PWC analysis, which found that the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Sweden have all


witnessed growth in the black market, with growth of between 20 per cent to 66 per cent of all bets staked with black market providers.


Lottoland is urging Minister James Browne and the Regulator designate to re-engage with industry experts and listen to their concerns. It is feared that the new laws suffer from an absence of clear and robust definitions, and if passed, would have a range of unintended consequences stemming from a range of legal issues,

IGT PlayDigital will expand its content in Italy after partnering with Microgame in an agreement that will provide the Italian iGaming company with the ability to distribute IGT PlayDigital’s casino game library.


Top-performing IGT PlayDigital games such as Treasures of the Pyramids, Te Big Easy, Da Vinci Diamonds, and Cleopatra will be made available to nearly 50 operators within Microgame’s network.
