WATERLOO, ONTARIO, CAN A - DA — Teledyne has introduced its new compact thermal camera core, MicroCalibir™, a low-power cam- era platform. This latest uncooled thermal

camera platform is reportedly the smallest VGA IR core module on the market. This makes it suit- able for OEM drones, handhelds, helmet-mounted, and vehicular integration products. The cameras can reach very

low, sub-30mK, NETD levels by utilizing advanced, user-selec- table noise filtering algorithms. The MicroCalibir platform

delivers accurate and high-end thermal capabilities and can be configured by resolution, field of view, and frame rate. Micro - Calibir cameras and cores are available in QVGA and VGA reso-

lutions and a variety of lens options. Its modular design allows

Unit includes 2 in. (50 mm) alu- minum extrusions and a common T-slot, making it compatible with other Robotunits systems. These key elements, along

with the company’s proprietary fastening technology, enable the linear motion system to work in combination with Robotunits’ conveyors, material handling components, safety fencing, and machine frames. The unit is available with a

single or double carriage, and the system allows the energy chain

to attach directly to the carriage without the need for additional components. For advanced appli- cations, the Omega linear motion

Emerson Launches Ultrasonic Cleaners for Plastics Injection Molds

ST. LOUIS, MO — Emerson has announced its new Branson™ MCX series ultrasonic mold clean- ing systems, which feature side- mounted immersible transducers and powerful immersion heaters that can provide more effective, fast and efficient cleaning than other systems on the market. Compared to manual clean-

ing of plastics injection molds, which may take up to three hours or more, the Branson MCX series actually does a better job in 15 to 20 minutes, depending on mold design and level of residue. In contrast to traditional

manual cleaning, which requires high concentrations of often-toxic cleaning solutions, brushes and other tools, Branson ultrasonic cleaning systems use ultrasonic technology to produce fluid cavi- tation, a non-contact cleaning process. The resulting turbu- lence dislodges contaminants from the mold surfaces and even blind holes and tiny crevices. Contact: Emerson Electric
