Integrated ROSE Testing AAT’s Aqua ROSE system for batch cleaning and ionic contami-
nation recently received its fourth update, and is the only batch cleaner on the market to incorporate a ROSE test during every cycle. It uses the same formulas and methodology as a traditional iono-
graph, but uses 100 percent DI water as the solvent. This offers ex- cellent process control in a batch cleaner system with the smallest footprint on the market, without sacrificing capacity. In fact, the sys- tem has two racks, doubling those of other manufacturers. The most recent version was a response to customers who were
trying to squeeze the absolute highest throughput out of their batch cleaners. They also needed to retain as much floorspace as possible, while getting superior cleaning performance. The latest Aqua ROSE is faster than its predecessors, due to much improved drying capabil- ities. The Aqua ROSE 4.0 has a heater that is three times the size of the previous version. This allows the system to heat up three times faster and benefit the other stages by heating the process fluid much quicker. Overall, this upgrade slashes cycle times by 30 percent. Its integrated ROSE test on every cycle and data logging stan-
dard on every model makes cleanliness verification easier than ever. This process documentation also ensures compliance with both OEM and CM requirements.

participate in machine design, function and testing. Each employee has a unique view of how the company’s equipment works and how the user interacts with the cleaner. However, all traditional traveling and face-to-face meetings were abruptly halted at the onset of the pandemic. AAT quickly decided to go completely virtual, to help both its reps and customers cope with the new normal. With the help of newly hired business development manager Justin Worden, the com- pany set up a virtual demo room with high-definition cameras, micro- phones and proper lighting, AAT provided an experience to its cus- tomers that then allowed it to grow sales in the economic downturn. A new digital microscope has helped the company broadcast im-
ages during Zoom meetings to show customers actual test results while their parts were run through the cleaners. AAT’s customers are treated to live one-on-one demonstrations of the company’s equip- ment, actually processing parts that they provide. Customers also find it enlightening that AAT service technicians can get in front of the cameras with a machine similar to theirs, and show them exact- ly how to troubleshoot specific issues. Actual (rather than virtual) demos are still available for cus-
