MONROVIA, CA — Amada Weld Tech has released its CD-A 1000A, a 1,000 watt-sec- ond advanced capacitive discharge welder, ideal for battery tab welding, honeycomb tacking, and welding of conductive terminals. This next-generation CD welder is the

latest in a long line of CD welders manufac- tured by the company. The unit is automa- tion-ready and features dual pulse output with control and monitoring of both pulses. The dual pulse function helps overcome sur- face inconsistencies, such as dirt and oil con- tamination, during the first pulse and makes consistent welds with the second. A built-in process monitor measures

peak current for both pulses; this value is displayed after each weld. Upper and lower limits can

be set for both pulses to ensure weld consistency. An option to in- hibit pulse 2 if pulse 1 is out of

all over the world. Its website, www.smtsupplies.com, has a global reach, and sales in Europe and Asia are expected to contin- ue increasing, especially as the world recovers from the COVID pandemic. Seratti said that like all oth-

er businesses in the supply chain, the distributor segment has not escaped the challenges of COVID. While the company ex- perienced a minor, low single- digit decline in 2020 compared to 2019, it reacted quickly by reduc- ing expenses without laying off or furloughing employees and keeping in close contact with its customers. Moving forward, the compa-

ny will rely on its experience gained during 2020 and will take advantage of its size and flexibil- ity to prepare for exponential growth over the next several years. He added that the leader- ship team has been through var- ious cycles and challenges over the past 90 collective years of ex- perience. “If we have learned any-

thing, it is the simple fact that during these times, if prepared and strategically aligned with what customers require, we can take full advantage of the situa- tion to grow our business,” con- cludes Seratti. Contact: Advanced Preci-

#VaporPhaseSoldering #Avionics

When soldering high-mass or large boards, a particularly effective and easily controlled soldering pro- cess is of great importance. With the vapor phase soldering systems of the Condenso series, you will succeed in achieving the best soldering results even with these requirements – for a good take-off and a safe landing.

limits prevents weld blow out. The process monitor helps operators as-

sess performance with a color-coded bar graph that gives operators an instant weld history of in limit/out of limit percentages. CD-A 1000A offers up to four selectable pulse widths, increasing the range of welding ap- plications and improving process optimiza- tion. Extremely efficient power electronics provide high repetition rates. Contact: Amada Weld Tech, Inc., 1820 S
