Florida, NY — Remee Wire & Cable is now offering custom designed and manufactured cable prod- ucts. The company recently added the capability to make hybrid composite constructions with fiber optic and copper cable under a single jacket. The company has also expanded its insulation and jacket compound offerings to include cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and zero-halogen materials. Hybrid composite cables are becoming very
popular, due to their ability to extend distances for data and power cable runs, beyond the standard limits of PoE cables (328 ft [100m]). The flexibility of running longer distances and the cost savings associated with needing fewer or no electrical power outlets are the key benefits driving the growth in demand for these cables. The company developed its Activate™ pow-
ered cable solutions, a series of composite and Siamese fiber and copper cable con- structions. Remee manufactures its fiber tubes, with offerings that include gel-filled and dry tube tech- nologies. The company also offers both braid and foil shields for copper cables. The company uses only solid copper conductors. Adulterated cop-
Teledyne CARIS Develops AI Software to Clean Sonar Noise
Alexandria, VA — Teledyne CARIS has introduced its HIPS and SIPS™ 11.3 software upgrade. The software is, reportedly, the first-ever COTS release of an AI solution for classify- ing and cleaning sonar noise. The company seeks to signifi-
cantly reduce the need for manual cleaning and to move data swiftly from acquisition to review. The sonar noise classifier automatically identi- fies the vast majority of sonar noise, resulting in a reduction of manual cleaning effort by a factor of up to 10 times, with an accuracy of 95 per- cent. This allows the hydrographer to focus more time on other important aspects of the survey and processing workflow. This new approach to clean
sonar noise is powered by the CARIS Mira AI engine, a new cloud-based platform to host current and future

per results in poor signal quality. Also, unlike larg- er companies, Remee manufactures the complete composite cables in-house, providing greater con- trol over quality and lead time. Remee will partner with customers on non-
recurring expenses (NRE) associated with listings, ratings and other third-party testing necessary for
custom projects. The company is also willing to obtain certain required approvals when needed, such as special AWM listings, depending on the order.
Other listings that can be obtained include
burn ratings, torsion, crush, water saturation, and temperature. Remee manufactures electronic wire and cable — both copper and fiber optic. The com- pany’s engineering and manufacturing expertise has enabled its growing product offering and cus- tom capabilities. Its large standard cable offering, along with the capability to modify any standard cable or design and manufacture custom cables
