Gardner, MA — SEGGER has released App - Wizard, a GUI editor that presents engineers with a powerful new tool for creating complete, ready- to-run applications for the company’s popular emWin embedded graphics library. AppWizard is intuitive to operate and comes
with its own built-in resource management capa- bilities. It facilitates the use of all of emWin’s core functions, such as the rendering of animations, language management and widgets. One of AppWizard’s notable features is its
“what you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) edi- tor. This allows engineers to design application interfaces, along with their related interactions and events and immediately see what these appli- cations will look like. AppWizard also integrates a “play mode” for
easy testing of created applications in a simulated environment. Pressing F5 runs the current state of the application, just like debugging in an IDE. The construction of embedded
GUI applications with AppWizard is straightforward, requiring little or no prior experience with emWin or pro- gramming. By applying signals and slots/interactions, the application’s behavior can be defined easily. With its integrated resource
management, all resources, such as fonts and images, are automatically converted to internal formats and added to the project. Resources can be

Mount Vernon, NY —Key Digital has launched its KD-MLV4x2Pro, a mul- tiview, video presentation matrix switcher. The cost-effective, four- input, two-output video matrix switcher offers multiview processing and UHD/4K resolution up-scaling with audio de-embed. The KD-MLV4x2Pro gives video
wall functionality to any professional or consumer large panel or screen. In fullscreen mode, the screen will dis- play any of the six (four HDMI and two VGA) video sources. In quadrant mode, four video sources are viewed in equally sized quadrants. In multi- view mode, the processor creates and stores custom multiview layouts with the option to choose a primary video source on the top, bottom, left, or right of the screen, while still view- ing the additional three sources in smaller windows. The KD-MLV4x2Pro is also a
seamless switcher with uninterrupt- ed screen transitions during source selections, making it perfect for inte- gration with projectors, where switching typically results in long blue screens. The KD-MLV4x2Pro offers pro-
cessing capabilities for fine content, such as text tickers and spread- sheets. Integrators can create custom screen layouts by stacking images with customizable priority settings with image layering, using window transparency to view screens through each other and by adjusting

AppWizard to generate ready-to-use target appli- cations. These packages include the setup of the target hardware and display for a seamless start, as well as SEGGER’s emFile file system to make placing of resources on external memory simple. AppWizard outputs a bundle of C source files
to work with any target system that has at least 32 kB of RAM and 128 kB of ROM. A Microsoft Visual Studio simulation project enables debug- ging of the application and the adding of custom code, even if the final target hardware is not
