over time, the component mix of the customer will change, requiring a dif- ferent mix of sizes to match the new component mix. This results in two options — buy an additional storage system with a configuration that when combined with the existing sys- tem, meets the customer’s new com- ponent mix. The second option is to have the


manufacturer send a service tech, open up the machine and manually change the shelf size configuration, reprogram the system to its new con- figuration, calibrate the system and close it back up. This can take one to three days to do and will cost several thousand dollars. With UltraFlex, none of this is


necessary. Using the adjustable cases previously described, cases can be ad- justed to meet the new mix.
