Oxford, CT —MIRTEC is highlighting its range of advanced 3D AOI and 3D SPI systems at SMTAI. The all-new MV-6 OMNI 3D AOI machine com- bines MIRTEC’s 15 MP CoaX Press camera technology with its propri- etary OMNI-VISION® 3D digital tri- frequency moiré technol- ogy to provide pre cise inspection of SMT de - vices on PCB assemblies. The 15 MP camera
system is de signed and manufactured by MIR - TEC for use with its complete product range of inspection equipment. MIRTEC’s propri-
etary digital tri-frequen- cy moiré technology is designed to provide excellent 3D inspection of SMT and through- hole devices up to 1 in. (25 mm) tall. The sys- tem yields precise height measurement data used to detect lift- ed component and lifted lead defects, as well as solder volume post reflow. Fully configured, the MV-6
OMNI machines contain four 10 MP side-view cameras in addition to the 15 MP top-down camera. MIRTEC’s MS-11e 3D SPI
machine is configured with an exclu- sive 15 MP CoaXPress camera sys- tem, providing excellent image quali- ty and accuracy and fast inspection rates. The MS-11e uses dual-projec- tion, shadow-free, moiré phase shift
imaging technology to inspect solder paste depositions on PCBs post screen print for insufficient solder, excessive solder, shape deformity, shift of deposition, and bridging. The MS-11e uses the same robust plat- form as the MV-6 OMNI series.
