Biohit, Inc has introduced their new ErgoTubes. These microtubes are designed with a patented flip cap, which significantly reduces strain and effort during use. This feature assists in opening the ErgoTubes more safely than traditional micro centrifuge tubes.
The ErgoTube meets today’s demand for ergonomic, safe, and functional tubes for use in centrifugation, sample prep, boiling, and storage.
Biohit ErgoTubes are RNase, DNase and Pyrogen-Free. They are available in clear as well as eight colors. Sizes include 0.5ml, 1.5ml and 2.0ml. All tubes are packaged in tamper evident re-sealable bags for user protection as well as sample protection.
ErgoTubes are excellent for centrifugation, sample prep or storage. They are made of virgin polypropylene and have a frosted area for marking on both the cap and the side of the vial.

Brookfield Engineering has introduced the new Plastic VisCal Kit that is designed for laboratory environments that are required to be ‘Glass Free’. The Brookfield Plastic VisCal Kit provides all the necessary items to verify the calibration of your Brookfield Viscometer/Rheometer in a glass-free environment. The kit includes a 600mL Plastic Beaker, one liter of Silicone Viscosity Standard in a plastic bottle and a Brookfield-designed metal lid for anchoring the beaker in a temperature bath. The reversible lid fits containers of various sizes.

These consumables are certified free of toxins that would impair viability during the centrifugation and cryogenic freezing processes. Thoroughly tested against the highest available standards, the Nunc™ IVF consumables range ensures safety and reproducibility for in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedures.
As quality and reliability are critical to successful IVF, these Nunc centrifuge and cryopreservation tubes are MEA (mouse embryo assay) and HSSA (human sperm motility assay) tested and certified. Compliance with these standards maintains cell viability before and after long-term storage. Made of polystyrene, the IVF centrifuge tubes are HSSA tested so as not to impact on sperm motility. Furthermore, the cryopreservation tubes are produced in accordance with a proven design for the safe cryogenic storage of sperm, eggs, embryos or tissue samples.
