SHOW PREVIEW BY GWYNETH ASTLES

The 22nd International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis and Biotechnology, promises to be the most international analytica to date. Analytica 2010, March 23 – 26, is anticipating 1000 exhibitors and over one third of them are from countries other than Germany. Many of the world's leading manufacturers, suppliers and scientists in the laboratory technology, instrumental analysis and biotechnology fields will be travelling from all over the globe to take part.

In addition to the extensive exhibition showcasing all of the products and developments for analysis laboratories that are currently on the market, visitors can also look forward to the analytica Conference, which is an important analysis congress in Europe. The conference, whose slogan is "Talking Science – Today's Knowledge for Tomorrow's Applications", is held on the first three days of the fair (March 23 – 25) and will feature four plenary presentations and 23 symposia with renowned speakers from Germany and abroad.

In the following pages we take a look at a cross-section of some of the exhibitors and products that will be on display this year. For further information and a full exhibitor list go to www.analytica.de

A. KRÜSS OPTRONIC

A. Krüss Optronic has launched a new family of laboratory instruments - 4 new density meters that meet all laboratory demands from daily use to high-precision measurements.

DS7400/DS7500 operate with a world novelty: a micromechanical measuring cell. It allows samples of only 80µl for perfect measuring results. DS7800 and DS7900 are “classic” density meters based on well-established oscillating u-tube technology.

Additionally, DS7500 and DS7900 scale up standards with 0.00005 g/cm³ accuracy of measured value and a repeatability of 0.00001 g/cm³. All 4 devices have a built-in Peltier thermostat with temperature repeatability of +/- 0.02°C and are NIST and GLP/GMP compliant.
