is a new Yorkville Chamber member. Its owner, Alex Harper, says he is expanding into Yorkville because he likes the area and hopes to attract new business and residential clients. “We do anything, from extravagant


landscape construction to planting of trees and shrubs, to designing beds, laying rocks, mulching, power washing, edging, maintence mowing and snowplowing,” Alex says. “We do a lot of commercial buildings and residential as well. Really, we can do anything you can think of.” A Big Rock native, Alex says he


went into the landscaping business when he was 11 years old, working for a neighbor. “It was just a job then,” he


remembers. “But now I like to see the development of a project.” He says clients can call him 24/7, but he hopes they


won’t call in the middle of the night. Still, he is there for his clients, he says. And he touts the fact that his is a family-owned business. Two of his brothers work with him. “We are growing,” Alex says. “People are definitely
