SIXTH FORM DEBATING SOCIETY
The Sixth Form Debating Society will take place every week. It is an opportunity for pupils to hone their debating skills in a formal but fun environment. Each week four pupils will have an opportunity to debate a different motion and one pupil will take on the role of chairing the debate. These roles will change each week. The remainder of the group are expected to ask challenging questions and make their own contributions to the debate. Pupils who demonstrate an aptitude for debating will be given a chance to join the Mayfield Debating Team and take part in the prestigious national debating competition.
