Creative Arts CERAMICS CLUB


This is a short course of four weeks in which pupils have the opportunity to develop ceramic decorating skills. We will aim to design, make and glaze a collaborative ceramic installation during the Autumn Term.


For: Year 9 (max. 8 pupils) Led by:Mrs McFadyean Cost: £5


LASER CUTTING CLUB


We will design and make simple jewellery and Items on the laser cutter using appropriate software.


For: Years 9 (max. 6 pupils)


Led by:Mr Rees-Moorlah / Mrs McFadyean


Cost: £10 (for six-week course) TEXTILES


Girls will design and make their dream outfits, be it a ball gown or theatre costume. They learn how to design, create and adapt patterns, make garments, use and care for sewing machinery and apply finishing touches. At the end of the year, the girls’ designs will feature in a Fashion Show. This is an all-round exploration of the wonderful world of fabrics and colour.


Trips during the year will include The Royal School of Needlework workshop, Stitching and Knitting Show, Graduate Fashion Week Catwalk Show, Balenciaga shaping fashion at the V & A, Anne Kelly - Textile Artist Workshop and Fashion and Textile Museum Visit.
