EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACT IVI T I ES 2017 - 2018 School Productions


A School Production is a chance for the whole School community to come together and participate in the production both on or off stage.


The Autumn production will take place during an afternoon and two evenings and will be staged in the Concert Hall. The girls are expected to attend frequent rehearsals during the Autumn term gaining a sense of performance technique, discipline, confidence and camaraderie. Performance is for Years 10 upwards.


The Spring performances are a variation of plays staged by the GCSE and A Level Drama classes.


The Summer Term School Production will be taking place over two evenings in June and will be staged within the Mayfield grounds. Performance is for Years 8 & 9.


Theatre Workshop


Theatre workshop will mainly be held in the Concert Hall as an introduction to all aspects of backstage theatre. Pupils will explore lighting design, set and props, makeup, front of house management, stage management, costume and much more. Pupils will learn a variety of transferable skills, whilst having fun. The Theatre Workshop will be a support group for all the staged productions that take place at Mayfield.
