EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACT IVI T I ES 2017 - 2018 Mayfield SPARK with Catherine Bellinger School of Dance
The classes will develop technique, confidence and style when performing ready for the annual Dance Show. Any Mayfield pupil can attend the appropriate classes but registration is different depending on whether you are a Boarder or a Day Girl:
Boarders in Years 7 - 13 can attend Senior Ballet and/or Contemporary Jazz free of charge. They need to notify
hmiller@mayfieldgirls.org before the first Saturday of each term to confirm their attendance.
Day Girls should register with
catherinebellingerschool@gmail.comas soon as possible to secure their place and bookings are made one term in advance. Price is provided on application.
These classes are also open to the general public. If you wish to withdraw from the classes one term’s notice is required.
DRAMA Year 7 Drama Club
A fun introduction to Drama, organised and facilitated by A level Drama and Theatre pupils. This is a weekly lunchtime session taking place during the Autumn and Spring terms (one or two). In the Summer term the pupils will be involved in the Lower School Production. Pupils will participate in drama exercises and improvisations leading to a short performance piece. It is a practical introduction to drama aimed at improving communication skills, working together, developing confidence and making new friends. No audition is required.

Years 8 & 9 Acting
The club involves weekly acting workshop sessions over three terms, leading to a School Production running over two evenings in June. This group is open to 15 pupils, by audition only.
