therapymachines for inch-loss cinch

those inches

Let’s face it, nomatterwhat dietary plan or gymroutinewe commit ourselves to,we often struggle to shift those last fewniggly pounds. Sowhat if you could tell your clients you had a therapy treatment, which involves little or no downtime that could actually help? Erm, no brainer – yes please!

These days, it seems that wherever we look we can find examples of celebrities turning to inch-lossmachines to help them‘cinch in those inches’ – fromthe revelationmade by TheTelegraph, back in 2009, ofMadonna and KylieMinogue using vibrationmachines to wobble away their body woes through to the latest streamof realityTV stars such as Made in Chelsea’s LouiseThompson booking in for ‘thigh-gap lipo’ at a Harley Street clinic.

What was once considered to be a treatment obtainable only by the rich and famous, has now becomemuchmoremainstream, thanks to advances in technology and a better understanding of the different types of inch- loss treatments available. In fact, last year online clinic finderWhatClinic.comreported a 161%increase in enquiries for Laser Lipo; meanwhile their Ultrasonic Cavitation enquiries were up by 328%, and with projected enquiries set to increase again in 2014, it looks like this is one celebrity trend that will continue to go the distance.

For those who haven’t kept up-to-date with the latestmachine-based inch-loss therapy treatments here’s a quick round up of the treatments available:

laser lipolysis

Laser Lipolysis is aminimally invasive procedure that uses heat fromfibre-optic lasers at various wavelengths tomelt body fat. It does this by stimulating the fat cell membranes which causes themto lose their shape, which in turn allows the intercellular fat, or triglycerides, to escape themembranes into the blood streamto be used as energy. An added benefit of Laser Lipolysis is that it also encourages the production of the protein collagen, making the skinmore taut.

wavelengths to target the fat cellmembranes. In Ultrasound Cavitation treatments, the selected sound waves force pressure on to the fat cells causing themtomicroscopically implode, and subsequently release the triglycerides back into the blood streamto be used as energy.

During Radio Frequency treatments, the selected radio waves damage the fat cell membranes by heating themup to initiate a breakdown of the fat cells and promote the re-absorption and drainage of retained fluids and toxins, whilst improving circulation.

Cryotherapy, also known as cool sculpting, works in a similar way but rather than heating the selected area it freezes it, causing damage to the fat cellmembranes which ultimately leads to the dispersion of triglycerides once again into the blood stream.

mechanicalmanipulation

Mechanicalmanipulation /massage, on the other hand, helps to eliminate fatty deposits through the use ofmechanical rollers. When used following a specific treatment protocol, it is believed thatmechanicalmanipulation of

the tissue can help to improve lymphatic drainage and circulation, reactivate the body’s own natural lipolysis process and stimulate collagen production.

Furthermore, mechanicalmassage treatments can be used as stand-alone treatments or are often used in combination with other treatments, such asMicrocurrent and vacuum suction, to increase its efficacy.

good vibrations

Perhaps one of the earliest forms ofmachine- based inch-loss therapy systems, vibration plates have become a staple formany salons. Originally designed with a band to be fitted around the waist, thesemachines encourage your clients to shake their way to a slimmer body.Today’s variations no longer carry the waistband attachment but instead they usually offer a plethora of add-on options such as resistance bands for the arms and different treatment protocols depending on the area your client wishes to target.

Of course, whichever inch-loss systemyou may be thinking of introducing into your salon it helps to know that system’s key selling points, so turn the page to find out more information…
