Dear Readers
This is an excitingmonth for us in the Guild News offices, as our annual flagship show returns to the NEC
Birmingham. The BeautyUK experience now encompasses four shows under one roof – BeautyUK, NailsUK, HairUK and Holistic Health – with over 500 brands on show.
Inside this issue you’ll find everything you need to know about all of these events, and details of how you can claimyour free entry tickets which will save you the £20 pay-on-the-day price.
Also, as the weather starts to warmup, this month we turn our focus towards Summer skin care with informative and thought-provoking articles about SPF use and the use of antioxidants for pre- and post-sun treatments. We round-up skin care brand’s SPF offerings, so you can be sure to retail only the best to protect your clients’ skin this Summer, plus Samantha Lloyd considers how to treat clients experiencing hyperpigmentation caused by sun damaged skin.
Nail techs will love our Inspiration Station with ideas for propelling the Frenchmanicure into an artisticmasterpiece, plus as research shows a whopping 400%increase in the number of nail colour products entering themarket in recent years, we look at the enduring appeal of traditional nail lacquers and showcase the product developments that ensure these remain a staple of your treatment protocol and retail sales.
I look forward tomeetingmany of you at the NEC later thismonth; be sure to come and say hello!
