BRICS Foundry Association Established 金砖国家铸造业联合会成立


Dear GCM friends, I want to take this opportunity to talk more on


BRICS. The founding of the BRICS Foundry Asso- ciation was announced at Metal China in Beijing this May, with BRICS foundry industry leaders attending the founding ceremony. In July, the establishment of the BRICS Development Bank was announced at the sixth BRICS Summit in Brazil, which marked the beginning of substantive cooperation among BRICS nations. Under the BRICS governments’ close con- cern and promotion, the cooperation in various fields among member countries is becoming deep and con- crete, which will surely exert a positive influence on cooperation in the metalcasting industry and provide impetus to the development of the BRICS Foundry Association. The five BRICS nations cover 29.6% of the world’s


area and 42.3% of the world population. In 2013, the five countries accounted for 21.3% of the world GDP and 16% of the world foreign trade volume. Their contribution to global economic growth has been more than 50% in the last decade. As the world economic integration develops and the BRICS economic coop- eration is becoming deep and concrete, the communi- cation in the metalcasting industry in BRICS nations has become more frequent. 《世界铸造》杂志的读者朋友们:大家好! 在此,特别向大家提到金砖国家的信息。今年5月, 金砖国家铸造业联合会在北京中国国际铸造博览会 (Metal China)上正式宣告成立,金砖国家铸造协会 的领导们共同出席并见证了成立仪式。今年7月,在巴 西举行的“金砖国家领导人第六次会晤”上,“金砖国 家开发银行”的成立,标志着金砖国家之间开始了实质 性的合作。在金砖各成员国政府的高度重视和推动下, 金砖国家之间从科技、经济到人文等领域的合作不断深 化和务实,这对金砖国家铸造业间的交流合作定会产生 良好的影响,对金砖国家铸造业联合会的建设与发展也 将起到积极的推动作用。


金砖五国占世界领土总面积的29.6%,占世界总人口 的42.3%,2013年占全球国内生产总值的21.3%,占全 球对外贸易总额的16%,过去十年对全球经济增长贡献 率超过50%。随着全球经济一体化的发展趋势,金砖国 家之间的经济合作不断深化和务实,各国铸造行业的交 流也日益密切。目前,金砖国家铸件产量已占全球铸件 总产量的60%以上,在世界铸造业发展中发挥着越来越 重要的作用。
