International Seminar of Investment Casting Held in Taiwan 第八届国际精密铸造研讨会将在台湾举办

Te 8th International Seminar of Investment Casting (ISIC) will be held on Nov. 8-10 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Initiated in 1999, this is the first time for the ISIC hosted by Taiwan Foundry Society to be taken place in Taiwan. It has been served as a premier platform that gathers experts and elites to make reports on the latest information and researches of the investment casting. With the discussion and exchange during Seminar, the international academic communication and cooperation would be enhanced. Te Seminar will attract experts to make speeches focus-

ing on market analysis, the latest research achievements, the latest trend and information. Meanwhile, there will be an exhibition where exhibitors will take this opportunity to showcase their latest products and exchange with all at- tendees and visitors. And the Industrial Visit Tour will help to promote communication. ■

China’s Intelligent Equipment Industry Shows Rapid Growth 赛迪研究院:智能装备工业快速增长

According to a recent report from CCID (China Center

for Information Industry Development), the accumula- tion rate of China’s equipment manufacturing added value has continued to increase in the first half of the year. Te value of export delivery also has increased steadily and the intelligent equipment manufacturing gains its development momentum. Te report also shows that China’s equipment manufacturing will still keep increasing in the second half, intelligent equipment such as industry robots, service robots, 3D printing equipment, and rail transportation equipment, energy saving and environmental friendly equipment indus- try will grow rapidly. Te report predicts that the equipment manufactur-

ing’s industrial added value will have a 12% slight growth. Automobile, general equipment manufacturing and special equipment manufacturing industry will reach a 15%, 11%, 11% year on year growth respectively. In the second half of 2014, the report predicts that with

the rapid development of the new urbanization and “smart city”, the speeding up of infrastructure construction in railway, subway, highway and water conservancy industry will provide impetus to the development of the equipment manufacturing. Related industries including construction machinery, elevators, urban railway equipment, smart grid, IOT equipment and agricultural machinery will grow faster. Because of the growing labor cost, demand of the structure upgrading and smart home, intelligent equipment, such as industry robots, service robots, 3D printing equipment and wearable equipment will become new growth points. With the “Machine substitution” develops across the whole coun- try, industry robots will grow faster. ■
