Fill Machine Engineering Founds Subsidiaries in Mexico, China Fill机械工程公司在墨西哥设立子公司
Austrian firm Fill Machine Engineering has just opened a
branch office in Mexico. Te wholly-owned subsidiary, based in Puebla, starts with a five-strong sales and service team. Alongside supporting Fill customers locally, the aim is to
develop markets in North and South America from the base in Mexico. As an “ideas factory” for individual complete solutions, the Upper Austrian machine and systems engineering experts have made an excellent name for themselves internationally. “We see ourselves as a systems integrator who also plays the
part of general contractor when required. Our highly automated manufacturing processes with short cycle times, integrated qual- ity assurance and process monitoring supply our customers with a real competitive advantage,” said Fill CEO Wolfgang Rathner, who is also responsible for the new company in Mexico. Fill Machine Engineering recently established wholly-owned
subsidiary Fill China with a head office in Shanghai. Te new overseas branch of the company will allow the Upper Austrian machine engineering specialists to deal with the emerging Chinese market even more rigorously. Fill machines are already being used at 10 locations throughout China. With production of around 19 million vehicles (cars and commercial vehicles) per year, China is the world’s largest market in the automotive sector. Te aerospace industry is also booming in the Middle Kingdom. Fill Machine Engineering supplies many renowned automo-
tive manufacturers in Europe and America with production systems for manufacturing cylinder heads and in the field of alu- minum casting. Attention has now been turned to the business in China. “We are currently working on seven projects in China, with a total order value of around 16 million Euros. Te found- ing of Fill China with a five-strong sales and service team places us closer to the customer and will allow us to further expand our position as a market and technological leader,” said Tomas Rathner, general manager of Fill China and head of the Metal Competence Center at Fill. Rapid growth of the Chinese market in the automotive and
composite sectors is stimulating demand for high-quality ma- chines and systems. Above all, huge potential for casting, cooling and raw part machining systems exists here in aluminum and iron foundries. Demand for fiber-reinforced composites is also rising continuously. Tese fields number among Fill Machine Engineering’s core areas of expertise. In its annual “Current Market Outlook,” aircraft manufac-
turer Boeing foresees a demand of 35,000 new aircraft in the next 20 years. More than a third of these will be for the Asia- Pacific region.
