New Chief Executive Officer of ASK Chemicals Named ASK化学公司任命新首席执行官
ASK Chemicals has announced the appointment of Frank Coenen as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Stefan Sommer in the role. Coenen most recently served as CEO of Tessenderlo Group, a global,Belgian-listed specialty chemicals group. ASK Chemicals also extended
its appreciation to outgoing CEO Stefan Sommer for his leadership over the past four years. Sommer led many important accomplish- ments in that period, from the creation of ASK Chemicals as an independent business in 2010 to its successful sale to Rhône. ASK Chemicals is one of
the world’s largest suppliers of foundry chemicals. It is repre- sented in 25 countries with 30 sites, 20 of which operate their own production, and employs approx. 1,700 people worldwide. With research and development in Europe, America and Asia, ASK Chemicals sees itself as the driving force behind industry-specific innovations and is committed to offering customers a consistently high level of quality. Speyside Equity Buys Pacific Steel Speyside Equity公司收购太平洋钢铁公司
Private company Speyside Equity has purchased Pacific
Steel, West Berkeley, Calif. Te Daily Californian reports the $11.3 million transaction followed the firm’s bid in June, on the heels of the metalcaster’s bankruptcy filing in March. Family-owned Pacific Steel employs 400 people and is not expected to cease operations or make major changes, ac- cording to company spokesperson Elisabeth Jewel. “Everybody is very relieved that the company will stay open and continue to operate,” Jewel said. “Tese are great jobs. Tey’re union jobs that pay well, and we don’t want those jobs to go away. We certainly don’t want them to go overseas.” Tough its purchase has been completed, she said Pacific Steel will be officially under new ownership in a few months. ■
