High-Quality Binders and Auxiliaries for the Chinese Foundry Market

料材助ોո剂গ॰的量ઔ高售销֪٠造铸֡Зզ'. Hüttenes-Albertus (also well known as HA) is an

international manufacturer of chemical products for the foundry industry. HA provides leading solutions and services with the aim to satisfy all customers’ requirements: advanced foundry chemical products for every stage of the manufacturing process, an extensive range of services and comprehensive support. With its long term experience in economical

and environmentally-friendly foundry chemistry, Hüttenes-Albertus supports Chinese foundries with a large product portfolio, regional R&D and its expe- rienced Chinese HA team. In 2014, HA invested 20 million Euro in a new resin plant in Nantong. Feeders and coatings are also produced in Nantong. Thus the company follows its conviction that local markets with their individual needs benefit most from being served locally. In foundries all over the world, the requirements

placed on casting production have risen significantly over the past years. Technical trends such as light weight engineering and the down-sizing of motors play an important role in the design of cast parts and – as a logical consequence – of sand cores. The com- ponents are becoming more complex while the wall thickness is reduced. This also leads to rising demands on the core binder systems and other chemical auxil- iary supplies. HA offers a broad range of products for the

cold-box process. This is the most dominating and high-performance process for the manufacturing of sand cores for serial applications which use iron and aluminum casting. It delivers dimensional accuracy and a very good economic performance. HA also takes into account environmental require- ments that are playing an increasing role in the world. With the development of new sustainable binder systems (inorganic or hybrid), HA helps conserve resources and protect the environment at reasonable cost.

In foundry engineering, coatings are finishing ma-

terials applied to molds and cores to obtain a smooth surface. Working in close collaboration with selected partners in the foundry industry, HA chemists and technical experts have developed innovative coatings which help avoid casting defects. Products such as binders, coatings and many other

auxiliary materials are just one side of the medal at HA. The company also offers innovative value adding services. ■
