High-Purity Pig Iron Export Tariffs Reduced 高আ生铁ӞՌһ税由 ЇઁӰ
Promoted by the China Foundry Association, the export
tariffs of high-purity pig iron have been reduced from 20% to 10%. Te high added-value of high-purity pig iron (manganese less than 0.08%, sulfur less than 0.03%, titanium less than 0.02%, pig iron less than 0.03%) is over-capacity in China. In order to promote its exports, the Ch ina Foundry Association has applied to the Ministry of
Finance to reduce the export tariffs of high-purity pig iron in October 2015. On Dec. 4, 2015, the Ministry of Finance issued a notice about a tariff adjustment in 2016 in which the export tariffs of high-purity pig iron was cut from 20% to 10%. ■

National Science and Technology Progress Prize ূ磨联盟ո协Ѫ成ճу学ऒ՟Ҁগ硕果
On January 8, the National Science and Technology
Awards conference were held in Beijing. Te project of “the research and industrial application of material-saving and wear resistant steel materials” through “industry-university- institute” cooperation won the second prize for the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015. Te achievement was made with the collaboration of the
Wear Resistant Material Union and its members. Te project presented the high-resilience theory of wear resis- tant steel materials, which effectively guides the design, research and development, material selection, application and evaluation for wear-resistant steel materials under wear working condition. It has made breakthroughs in high-toughness and high-
wear resistance of three kinds of new materials and tech- nologies: the invention of implanted high rigid toughening ceramic precast body reinforced iron-based wear-resistant composite material used in wear conditions under severe high temperature and the gravity cast-penetrated metallurgy composite manufacturing technology; the high rigid tough- ening endogenous enhancement (hard) hypereutectic high chromium alloy wear resistant materials under strong erosion wear conditions and directional crystallization control brittle materials technology; high toughness wear-resistant alloy steel for impact wear conditions, and the evaluation techniques for optimization designing and application of series of wear- resistant alloy steel with high hardening rate.■

On Feb. 2, Premier Li Keqiang visited the KOCEL
Group in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Peng Fan, the president of KOCEL Group and the supervisor of the China Foundry Association, accompanied him on the visit. KOCEL Group Limited was founded in 1966, and has become a corporate group in multiple industries, in different regions and with diversification.■
