Move Forward With Hope ਸ਼ӸЗ望٤֧
Welcome to the first issue of Global Casting Magazine
in 2016. I would like to take this opportunity to express my best wishes to you and wish all of you a prosperous year. In 2015, the global foundry industry went through a dif-
ficult year when the world economy was in sluggish recovery. As the largest nation in casting production, the Chinese foundry industry also has been faced with severe challenges of structure adjustment and upgrading while the whole industry is pressing for innovation. In this regard, the China Foundry Association has completed the formulation of the 13th five-year plan for the foundry industry, which comes up with the guides and tasks for the industry in the future. 2016 is the first year for the implementation of the 13th
five-year plan, and the strategy of “Made in China 2025” also will be officially launched. In 2016, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of China Foundry Association; at the same time, the 14th China International Foundry Expo (Metal China 2016) will be held in May 17-20, Beijing. All foundry friends are welcome to come to Beijing in May and enjoy with us the achievements and innovation of the world foundry industry. ■
