BIG BP DEAL FOR HOYER Hoyer has entered into a long-term agreement with BP covering bulk fuel transport and logistics services throughout the UK. Under the contract, Hoyer will take over responsibility for order taking, stock management, scheduling, despatch, physical execution and reconciliation of all retail fuels in the UK as well as aviation fuels in Northern Ireland. UK, says: “We are delighted to confirm this new contract involving more than 400 staff and drivers and 120 vehicles. Te agreement is a significant step in Hoyer achieving its strategic growth objectives for both the UK and across Europe.” Germany-headquartered Hoyer has been active in the UK market since 1974 and
established itself as the market leader in nationwide fuel distribution with significant domestic and international operations for customers in the bitumen, chemicals, foodstuffs and airgas markets. From its head office in Huddersfield, the company manages some 1,000 people and 470 vehicles deployed across 35 locations.

PRIZE FOR TURNERS A Turners (Soham) ADR tanker trailer supplied by Williams Tanker Services (WTS) for its Inver Energy contract in Cardiff has been named Trailer of the Year by Fuel Oil News. Tis new tanker, Turners reports, is the result of “a close partnership between Turners and Inver Energy” that saw the two companies
exploring ways of maximising payload and operational efficiencies. “Te tanker’s bespoke modifications have made our transport capabilities more efficient [so] we can make a more competitive offering to customers,” says Inver’s commercial director Tony Wilson. Te WTS LAG trailer, Turners explains,
“utilises a proven baffle and vessel design [and] LAG construction method”. At the same time “modifications within the design offer technical excellence as the vessel construction requires only three circumference welds to achieve the vessel’s overall length”. Te design “also
