TODO BREAKAWAY LAUNCH IN THE US Emco Wheaton has launched a new breakaway coupling for bottom loading applications. Te aluminium Todo 4-inch breakaway includes a TTMA flange and can be applied on new loading arms and as a retrofit to bottom loading arms. In the event of a drive-away, the coupling will disconnect and minimise the risk of product loss. “Te consequences of drive-away incidents
are very serious without break-away protection. Our new Todo TTMA breakaway coupler removes the human error element when transferring dangerous fluids,” says Holly Damude, Emco Wheaton’s North American product director for Todo. Te aluminium Todo TTMA breakaway
consists of two identical halves joined together by a series of 3.0-mm break-pins, allowing the

breakaway to be configured to separate at a defined load. Should an excessive load be placed on the loading arm, the pins break and the breakaway separates, automatically closing the internal valves. Te breakaway can then be reset onsite using an Emco Wheaton aftermarket kit.

LYNX REVOLUTION FROM OPW OPW Engineered Systems has added a new API coupler to its range, promising that it will “revolutionise terminal loading forever”.
