working with all the major groups on a series of on- site trials. “The operators are really pleased that JCM is back in the South African market,” confirmed Ms. Drews. “In the past few weeks we have received orders from the market for a substantial number of installations having exhibited on our own booth for the first time at a non-gaming exhibition in March. It’s been a really positive start to what we hope will be the reclaiming of the market in South Africa for JCM Global.”
PRIORITISING SPAIN HAS PAID DIVIDENDS FOR JCM GLOBAL
As JCM Global celebrated its 60th year at G2E Las Vegas, concentrated focus in key markets continues to drive growth
JCM Global is experiencing something of a Spanish Renaissance of late, with a series of major announcements emanating from both the country’s mainland and island casinos. The deals are surprising for the fact that Spain is a market renowned for its ‘frugal’ approach to gaming sector investment and where price-sensitive purchases are culturally ingrained.
While JCM’s iVIZION bill validator is market leading, it certainly isn’t the cheapest in the sector, and yet
operators are responding to the value proposition in ever increasing numbers. “We put into place a strategic regional focus on the Spanish market,” explained JCM Global’s Michaela Drews at the G2E show in Las Vegas. “We established a local team and charged them with the responsibility of informing operators as to the benefits of working with JCM and specifically the iVIZION product. As a result of the trials we conducted, the market has responded positively, recognising the quality, reliability and value of the product, while at the same time we have earned the trust of operators at the local level.”
It’s the same story in the South African gaming market where JCM has installed a local team that’s
Celebrating the company’s 60th anniversary at the G2E show in Las Vegas, it’s fitting that JCM Global is resurgent in many important international markets around the world, not least with the FutureLogic range of products, having acquired the US-based business in 2014. Ticket2Go is one of the products that is currently at the forefront of JCM Global’s product line-up, with the FutureLogic brand still part of the proposition, but one that’s definitely fading into the background as JCM integrates products such as the GEN2 printer into the company’s own- branded portfolio.
“Ticket2Go is a major focus for JCM in the UK market where we are focusing on the Coin-op Show in London where we will be making a major launch announcement with a UK operator,” outlined Ms. Drews. “The UK team, led by Jim Foster, has received really positive feedback since the EAG exhibition in January and it’s been great to integrate Ticket2Go into the product family as part of an exciting complementary range of payment solutions. We focused on the UK market from the outset due to the strong market demand, but we also have lots of interest from the Spanish market too, where we’ll be working with local operators to match our success with iVIZION in the future.”
E-GAMING SCORE MAJOR STRIKES IN LATAM MARKETS
The Caribbean, Central and South America are all markets currently enjoying the latest games and terminals from e-gaming
Urbain Thewissen from VLT specialist, e-gaming, held a series of successful meetings at G2E in Vegas with agents and partners from South America. “G2E is the ideal place to meet with all our South American partners in one place,” explained Mr. Thewissen at the Sands Convention Centre. “We held a series of very constructive meetings with our partners and made key decisions as to our mutual future plans.”
e-gaming recently reported excellent outcomes in Mexico, wherein the company has machines installed with several major casinos across the country. “We have machines installed with an important operator in several of their best locations,” stated Mr. Thewissen. “On the back of this success we have additionally
e-gaming’s expansion into Latin America continues with news that the first containers of machines arrived in Colombia several weeks before the Las Vegas show, with installation of these units taking place during the event. “Our Colombian agent was visiting G2E and asked for more machines as he had just organised a presentation of our equipment before visiting G2E,” described Mr. Thewissen. “The agent met a large number of Colombian operators in Las Vegas and got very positive feedback. We are very excited to receive our first results from this market.”
signed with several other major operators in the market. Our machines there have proven their ability to perform strongly over the last couple of years and are now finding their way to other casinos.”
Mr. Thewissen underlined the fact that G2E is the show e-gaming prioritises to meet with clients from the Caribbean and Latin America. “We held some interesting meetings with potential customers from other Latam countries and hopefully we will be able to send the first test units in the next couple of months,” concluded Mr. Thewissen.
