INSPIRED BRINGS IRON MIKE TO G2E WITH LATEST RUSH BOXING

It was obvious before G2E Las Vegas that Inspired has been shifting emphasis, having been a machine- centric business in the past the thrust of the business is currently much more balanced with a strong omni - channel focus. The change was especially evident at show, whereby Inspired placed its Virtual Sports right at the forefront of its gaming offer.


Its new Virtual Sport Rush Boxing drew the crowds at the Sands Expo, not just because of the partnership with Mike Tyson, whose appearance at the show blocked the aisles in all directions, but because Virtual Sports showcased Inspired’s breadth of omni-channel solutions, bringing American Rush Indy Car Racing, Rush Basketball and its new Rush Football 2 Matchday format to an already packed roster of sports titles.


Its new Rush Boxing featuring ‘Iron Mike’ looked the finished article, but was in fact an early demo that is expected to go live around May 2016. As with each of Inspired’s Virtual Sports titles, boxers including Mike Tyson were motion-captured and mapped in 3D to capture authentic motions and specific styles to add to the ‘close to reality’ feel of Inspired’s Virtual Sports.


“Mike Tyson is a great fit with our brand,” commented Inspired’s Lucy Buckley at G2E. “When


you think of Mike Tyson you think of boxing and Vegas, thanks to his profile in the film The Hangover. Now that Virtual Sports has been legalised in Nevada, we are very excited about the opportunity to launch Rush Boxing, Rush Basketball and stock car racing in the state”


In Vegas, Inspired was already looking to the next show, EiG, and hotly anticipating the new Rush Football 2 Matchday, a match day version of the company’s hugely successful football title with commentary that draws players into the game unlike ever before. “Virtual Sports has been a game- changer for us,” described Ms. Buckley. “Demand has become amazing across all markets, showing that Virtual Sports is not a filler or gimmick - it’s a major gaming product and one that has become a strategic focus for Inspired.”


In addition to Virtual Sports, Inspired has concentrated heavily on social gaming, having acquired social games developer, We R Interactive in January 2015. We R Interactive’s title, I AM PLAYR, is a social Facebook football game played by as many as 20 million people worldwide. Its other title, We R Football, is the only first-person football game on the market and is quick, social and easy to play. Under Inspired’s leadership, the games have developed into native apps and are a natural fit with Inspired’s Virtual Sports products, tying together real-money and social gaming very neatly.


The shift in focus has not, however, meant that Inspired is now a ‘software-only’ business, with high quality machines proudly on display in Vegas. However, the omni-channel nature of the offer is ever present, with slot game, mobile and online

Best Game Technology is building on its foundations in the European self service betting market to launch into the US


Best Gaming Technology (BGT) was making its debut at G2E bringing its full range of white label, turnkey sports betting solutions, including its Self Service Betting Terminal, to Las Vegas for the first time.


Account Manager Scott Ferguson said: “Las Vegas is in need of technology in sports betting and we feel that we offer the best retail solution in the world. We combine broadcast, data and pricing feeds from BetRadar and Betgenius with race feeds from XBnet


and Racing Post across over 170,000 markets a week covering more than 30 sports.” The BGT terminal allows the online experience to be replicated in the retail market with a dual screen allowing customers to find what they want to bet on in the lower screen with the upper screen showing live feeds, scores and results.


“We offer a high degree of customisation with room for operator-generic information,” Mr. Ferguson added. “We’ve had huge success with operators such as Ladbrokes in the UK and Codere in Latin America. Players love the interactive aspect of the terminal. We’ve also worked with Scientific Games and Novomatic and feel we’re now ready to bring our technology to the US.”

Once the green light is lit in Greece, Inspired will be rolling out its G2S compliant, “Core Connect” platform inside its brand new Optimus and Blaze II cabinets, with Greece being Inspired's second large VLT market outside the United Kingdom. The booth at G2E also included a demonstration of Inspired’s UK server-based gaming product featuring the successful Eclipse cabinet and a suite of 100+ pieces of Slot and Casino game content, rapidly converging with mobile and online platforms for the complete omni-channel solution.


Things we learned in Vegas: Mr. Tyson does not keep tigers in the backyard of his Vegas home, but he is a keen pigeon-fancier and racer. Who knew?
