“Primarily we are a content developer,” described Mr. Reback. “We make great games, of which the cabinet plays a huge part, but it’s really just the platform vehicle for the success of the content. iGaming is another channel through which we can distribute our content. When you look at the available online platform, the challenge is in electing the right one to distribute your games; whether that’s Flash, HTML5 or Unit. We’ve closely followed the shift towards mobile and believe that HTML5 is the best approach to take for our customers and casino operators.”
In addition to its collaboration with Spin Games, Konami is also working with GAN, providing content as part of GAN’s Simulated Gaming solution and PlayStudios’s

working with
myVegas.com in 2014, bringing branded Konami game content to players of myVegas on Facebook.
“Land-based games content has proved to outperform
organic content on social gaming sites hands-down,” stated Mr. Reback. “Social gaming provides a real opportunity for premium land-based content to find new players. When you play a game on
myVegas.com, players receive actual MGM and Station Casinos rewards. We see from the affiliation that Konami titles are performing better in brick-and-mortar locations as a result. Social gaming has a symbiotic relationship with land-based gaming, where we’ve seen the rewards to be self-reinforcing.”
Using the GAN system Konami can integrate its online offering into the Synkros casino management system. If a player is online and has entered their loyalty number, Synkros can track their play and send targeted offers directly to the player’s mobile. Synkros can also track the player on-site and offer incentives to play later online, including promotions that refer the player back to the land-based location. Synkros provides a 360 degree view of the player, wherever and whenever they decide to play.
