DIMOCO has been developing its mobile carrier billing solution in the iGaming sector for more than two years. According to Rafal Nowak, Program Director, iGaming at DIMOCO, linking carrier billing to a gambling option is something of a sensitive field, especially in Europe. “Online gambling has issues finding space in the regulated eCommerce sector,” explained Mr. Nowak. “To address this, we had to develop the topic with global mobile providers, dividing Europe into regulated and unregulated online markets. We define regulated markets as being those in which operators have to apply for a local license, are paying local taxes, and obey local regulations.”
DIMOCO has identified 15 regulated markets in Europe in which mobile operators are willing to cooperate with locally licensed iGaming operators, which according to Mr. Nowak, was a process of negotiation.
