Groupe Partouche down slightly in first quarter of the year

French casino operator Groupe Partouche saw its revenue fall slightly to €110m in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the first quarter of the previous year. During the first quarter, the Group recorded growth in turnover for the months of November and December, but this trend was hampered by a particularly bad month in January due to the effects of weather on attendance at the group’s casinos.
In Cannes, Groupe Partouche is continuing its discussions following the protocol signed in June 2016 for the sale of its subsidiary Cannes Balnéaire SA, the holder of the long lease for the plot forming the Pointe Croisette site in Cannes, which operates the casino Palm Beach.

Elsewhere, the group said the construction of its new open air casino in La Ciotat is on course for an opening scheduled for the end of spring 2017.
Groupe Partouche will launch a brand new casino concept with an entirely outdoor establishment with a terrace of 1,400 m 2 where live tables and machine gaming will be offered.
