Looking ahead Our vision and prioriti es for 2018/19

Our vision is ‘to provide outstanding care for every pati ent’. We have identi fi ed four strategic prioriti es to help us deliver this; each with a list of specifi c acti ons for 2018/19.

Our vision: outstanding care for every pati ent Our values

We are passionate about providing outstanding care for every pati ent. This means not only the pati ents we see today, but the ones who will need us tomorrow, next year, and in years to come. It also means ensuring that pati ents are well cared for across the boundaries between our organisati on and other providers.

Our CARE values remain unchanged. Everything we do in the Trust is underpinned by these core values, which we all share: Compassion - caring about our pati ents and each other Accountable - and responsible, always improving Respect for all - colleagues, pati ents and their families Encouraging - and challenging each other to always do our best

Prioriti es 2018/19

In order to conti nue to provide outstanding care, we must focus on the care that we provide and the staff who care for our pati ents. We need to be responsible stewards of our fi nancial resources, ensuring that we do not spend too much in one area and deny future pati ents the care that they need. We need to be innovati ve. And we need to do all this within our CARE values, treati ng pati ents, colleagues and partners with compassion and respect. Our vision of providing outstanding care for every pati ent encompasses all these aspects.

Our operati onal prioriti es for 2018/19 have been developed through engagement from governors, the senior team, the Board, a wide range of staff , and by listening to key stakeholders. Each of the organisati onal prioriti es has a single responsible owner, an expected set of milestones for delivery, and key performance indicators. These will be monitored monthly through the chief executi ve’s report to the Board.
