Andover Minor Injuries Unit, a nurse led service


providing treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, was rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission. The review found that a high standard of care and treatment is being delivered at the unit by competent, effi cient and helpful staff who treat their pati ents with kindness.


The Winter Acti on ran for six days in January. During this period, the Trust off ered extended services to prevent


pati ents being admitt ed or help those who were well enough to leave hospital to do so as soon as possible.


February 2018 The Trust signed a Memorandum of Understanding


to seal a formal partnership with the University of Winchester to collaborate on research and educati on acti viti es. The collaborati on aims to increase research and educati on opportuniti es for both hospital staff and university academic departments.


The Nati onal NHS Staff Survey revealed that the majority of people working for Hampshire Hospitals would recommend the Trust as a place to receive treatment. Staff also said that they feel trusted to do their jobs and would recommend the Trust as a place to work.


Pati ents at Andover War Memorial Hospital have access to a new I-stat testi ng machine, thanks to donati ons from the Friends of Andover
