The 12th Annual Pasta for Paws was held on October 22 at the Fernandina Beach Nassau Atlantic Rec Center. All proceeds benefited Nassau Humane Society. When asked what was the most challenging part of her job, Nassau County Humane Society’s animal control officer Sherry Merritt said that people need more education on animal care and responsible dog ownership.

Maitland - Howl-O-Ween


Bark for Life of Gainesville, took place on Saturday November 19 at Westside Park. The event raised $4871 for the American Cancer Society with seven teams and 25 participants and their dogs.


Franklin’s Friends hosted another successful Howl-O-Ween, raising $50,000. The 501(c)3 nonprofit raises money to support Central Florida shelters/rescue groups, spay/neuter programs and Community Education programs.
