with adopting a dog from On The Wings of Angels. The staff has simplified the adoption process, specifically with the meet and greet portion. After a potential adopter fills out a comprehensive applica- tion, the staff matches a dog or two with the applicant. An appointment is made for the applicant to visit with the dogs, called a meet and greet. Family members and other pets who will be part of the new dog’s home are encouraged to attend the meet and greet. This requirement serves two purposes — first, to make sure the match is agreeable with all family mem- bers and the potential adoptee. Second, OWAR instructs the humans on their new dog’s basic obedience skills. “This is a tough job. We know we’re
helping and making a difference in a lot of dogs’ lives. But, we are also so troubled by the ones we’re unable to take,” said Susan. On The Wings Of Angels -
