Saturday 22nd October continued 3.00 – 4.00pm : Champagne and Burgundy Masterclass at the Royal Castle Hotel : We are delighted to have 2 of only 300 Masters of Wine in the world, Liam steevenson and John atkinson, presenting the wines of Champagne and Burgundy. This is a unique tasting for the keen wine enthusiast. £15 per person.
3.15 – 4.00pm : It’s Gin O’Clock : With the huge increase in the popularity of gin - a Ginaissance some would say - and the rise of premium craft gins - for the first time at the festival we investigate (and sample) the different styles and complex flavours of some local varieties including Tarquins (southwestern Distillery), salcombe and Rock samphire Gin (Curio spirits). Discover which are the common (and not so common) botanicals used in clas- sic and modern gins, which tonic is recommended by the experts and how to mix the perfect G&T. £8 per person.
5.00 – 5.45pm : Local Bubbly : Rebecca Mitchell aIWs is a local wine expert and consultant and wine educa- tor offering WseT wine education courses here in the south West. Join her to sample a selection of exceptional sparkling wines from the south West, including Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. enjoy the line-up of our finest fizz and pick your favourite glass of bubbly! £10 per person with canapés.
6.30 – 8.00pm : Wine and Food Matching in The Guildhall : sponsored and hosted by the Royal Castle Hotel this event will be a showcase of south american wine and food in conjunction with Burkmann wines. They are matching some of the best wines of this region with flavours and dishes from this fantastic continent using traditional recipes and techniques to give you a thoroughly authentic taste. £20 per person.

12.15 – 1.00pm : Prosecco Brunch : Back by popular demand Browns Hotel brings you the perfect way to start your Sunday lunchtime. Supported by Emilia UK Ltd enjoy a selection of premium Proseccos and wines from Pizzolato Organic Wines together with a selection of Italian cheeses and snacks. Ticket price allows you free entry into a prize draw to win a 3 day/2 night trip to Venice to visit the Pizzolato Winery. £10 per person.
