Finding Dartmouth’s Best Home Cooks COMMUNITY CAFÉ : OLD MARKET SQUARE Sponsored by Smith Street Deli


At Dartmouth Food Festival, it’s not all about the professional chefs. This year by popular demand we are bringing back our competition to find Dartmouth’s best home cooks. Paul Greenfield and Alan Price, previously of the ‘Embankment Restaurant’ and who now run ‘Smith Street Deli’ have set a challenge to find the best home-made scone and quiche. entry is simple: bring your product to the Community Café in the corner of the Old Market Square on the day of the competition. A fabulous foodie hamper will be awarded for each day’s winner.


Saturday 22nd October : Delicious Quiche


Rules. No soggy bottoms here please! We want the crispest of pastry (home-made) with the most deliciously scrumptious filling. The variety is up to you so let your imagination run riot. Bring your quiche along to the Judging Table in the Community Café (Old Market square) anytime between 12 and 2pm. Remember to label them with your name, mobile telephone number and flavour. Judging. Will take place at 3.00pm and the winner announced at 4.00pm. Judges are agata Rudczuk from Okemoor Ltd and Camilla Beloe (Food Festival Chairman).

Judges are Rayne Ward, Dart to Mouth Deli (award winning scone maker) and andrew eveleigh, baker and scone aficionado (smith street Deli).
