work of Claire Wiltsher and Jack Frame. Claire and Jack are each established artists with contrasting and refreshing responses to the British Landscape. Claire draws inspiration from the likes of Turner and Pollock,
resulting in impressionistic paintings with an elegant, dream-like quality which invites the viewer to project their own meaning and detail. Her paintings explore differing viewpoints of sea and land, responding to light, height and energy but eschewing the desire for total recognition. Claire received her master’s in fine art from Northumbria university and since then has built a growing reputation. In 2011 her work was selected for the national collection at the House of Lords. More recently, she was a finalist for the Cork street Open in 2014 and shortlisted for the Gemini prize from a worldwide field of over 750 artists.

Jack Frame graduated from Glasgow school of art in 2007 with a sell-out degree show which was a firm indication of the success that would follow. He has since become one of the UK’s most collectible artists. Jack describes his process as ‘magpie- like’, taking inspiration from a wide range of earlier artists to produce his unique work. He generally places a tree alone in the landscape, intending that his depiction of nature should carry an emotional quality. An innovative use of bold materials and a bright palette result in striking, unforgettable work.
