The county's largest property and confer- ence center, the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, features 447 guestrooms and more than 50,000- square feet of event space. Located in Bethesda, it is adjacent to the area's Metro system and offers easy access to Rockville, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.


In transportation news, Capital Bikeshare opened several dock stations in Montgomery County in 2014, including in Silver Spring, Rockville, Bethesda and Takoma Park. Capital Bikeshare offers over 2,500 bicycles for use and/or rental. Choose a bike at any of the more than 300 stations across Washington, DC, Arlington and Alexandria, VA and throughout Montgomery County, and return it to any other Capital Bikeshare station. Bikes can be used for commutes to work, to get to a Metro station, to run errands, go shopping, or to visit friends and family. Memberships are available for a day, three days, a month or a year, with access to its fleet of bikes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The first 30 minutes of each trip are free. Each additional 30 minutes incurs an additional fee.
