“Another option is Earl’s Bucks County with its 1,000-square feet ofmeeting space that has more of a contemporary design and feel that is reflected in their menu. Between Earl's and Cock and Bull, you have two very different products within a block of each other. We find a lot of groups like to do events at both venues as a way to mix things up. If you are hosting a three-day meeting, for example, by the third day of your guests seeing the same thing, it’s harder to keep their attention if they’ve been overexposed to a single loca- tion."
Next,Spinelli cites another dining option - the Buttonwood Grille, which accommo- dates numerous group meal functions. It is home to a completely different contem- porary, funky cafe,which offers a diverse menu he says. He also notes that, with additional spaces no more than a block away, attendees are presented with the opportunity to get out and stretch their legs after a long day ofmeetings,but don't have to leave or drive to another location.
Spinelli feels that the convenient nature of Bucks County from Philadelphia, Harris- burg, Bethlehem, Easton, Manhattan and other regional cities makes Peddler’s Village a great spot for planners who are seeking a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city without having to travel too far. “This area boasts a certain tran- quility, and we are great for a retreat," notes Spinelli. "Our size makes us good because we are not taking on the large meetings,as we’re not a convention desti- nation. Smaller meetings give us the opportunity to pay a lot of attention to detail and customize the experience.”
A great group addition as part of events at Peddler’sVillage has been a series of expe- riential programs made available by dif- ferent merchants throughout the village.
