The former Tremont Hotel renovated and converted to the Embassy Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor and Grand Historic Venue in June of last year. The hotel has 300 rooms and suites and 45,000-square feet of meeting space, including ballrooms for general session and many breakout room options. Guests enjoy complimentary made-to-order breakfast, a two-hour reception daily, and as a member of the Hilton Family, guests can also earn HHonors points for their stay and events. A full service Starbucks opened in November of 2013 and the Patisserie Cafe opened here in April of 2014.
Hyatt Regency Baltimore completed the first phase of its renovation, which included upgrades to the lobby, rest- rooms, and in first floor meeting space. Phase two of the renovation will begin this November, and is sched- uled to be completed in the winter of 2015. Phase two will include a soft goods renovation of sleeping rooms, new escalators, and new front entrance for the hotel.
The Baltimore Marriott Waterfront recently underwent a $5 million renovation that brings a more communal experience to its first-floor restaurant and bar area. The renovations were completed in March, combining the hotel’s great room, restaurant and lounge areas into a more fluid space. After several months of renovations, Apropoe’s, the hotel’s reinvented restaurant and lounge, opened in April with a focus on local food and drink.
The Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards completed a $3.7 million renovation on the first floor of the hotel in May of last year. The changes included updating event, restaurant, retail and guest registration spaces. Its 3,000-square feet of existing space was converted into a modern, versatile venue that accommo- dates additional seating during high-volume meals at The Yard restaurant, as well as providing additional pri- vate event space.
