In Hershey Pennsylvania, the "Sweetest Place on Earth," Hersheypark® is a fan- tastic option as a fun group attraction. Communications specialist for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts®, Reilly Fies, discusses some options and opportunities available at this 110-acre theme park.

“Hersheypark has six private catering facilities for groups of 40 up to more than 4,000 people, which are available to cor- porations, non-profit organizations, schools, camps and more,” says Fies. In addition to having over 70 rides and attractions (including 12 roller coasters and more than 20 kiddie rides), Hersheypark also offers live daily enter- tainment on six stages and in three per- formance areas, plus five strolling shows.

“Food and beverage is served at 46 loca- tions and shopping is available at 26 loca- tions on site," notes Fies. "In addition, 38 family games are located throughout the park. One-price admission provides

access to all the rides, attractions, enter- tainment and The Boardwalk at Hersheypark®,which is a waterpark con- sisting of five acres inside the boundaries of Hersheypark. The Boardwalk includes 13 unique water attractions and 29 private rental cabanas. Admission also includes entry to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park,an 11-acre,walk-through zoo that cares for more than 200 animals rep- resenting more than 60 species.”

For the planner who is looking to add some unique entertainment to their next event, Fies explains why Hersheypark is a great choice. “Hersheypark caters an all- you-can-eat buffet featuring customizable catering options. Additional options can be added on and include activities such as face painting, live entertainment, Hershey’s Product Character appear- ances, educational zoo encounters, and bingo. What sets us apart from other amusement parks is we are four unique experiences in one destination for one

admission-price; those being: Hershey- park; ZooAmerica; The Boardwalk at Hersheypark; and Hershey's Chocolate World attraction (which includes free admission and tour ride).”

Another popular location at the resort that is available for tours and events is The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue. The 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, which is where founder Milton Hershey pur- chased his first milk chocolate making equipment, served as the inspiration for this unique building.

“Events are held in the Grand Lobby, which provides approximately 2,200- square feet of event space. This lobby also features an expansive ceiling and a dra- matic two-story ‘Trompe l’oeil’mural. The mural depicts Milton Hershey seated on steps surrounded by children from Milton Hershey School; in the background is the town of Hershey. Ideal for banquets and
