Tampa Fundraising Luncheon Raises the Bar.

On Thursday, October 17, 2013 more than 600 animal lovers came together in support of the life-saving programs at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB). The Society’s annual Passion for Pets fundraising luncheon was held at the Hilton Tampa Downtown. Author and television personality

Cathy Unruh, along with her rescued cat and sidekick Lucy Miracle, emceed the luncheon. Inspiring presentations were made by Mary Birrell, President of the HSTB Board of Directors; Sherry Silk, Executive Director; Jeff Clark, Adopter; and Nancy Tortorello, a Gold Shirt Volunteer. Cynthia Sarff, Vice President of the HSTB Board of Directors served as spokesperson for the luncheon. Their testimonies portrayed the powerful bond between people and their adopted pets.
