Certikin exhibited a wide range of products at Lyon

The Covrex stand

With badge on I headed into the first of the aircraft hangar sized halls, and made my way to Hall 5 which contained what was effectively a UK companies’ section of the show where there were a number of familiar brands and faces. Elecro Engineering had one of the bigger stands in this area and displayed electric heaters, heat exchangers and more. UV specialists Triogen were just around the corner and they were joined by a number of companies including Plastica, Seal Pool Equipment, Spafix Direct, Aquamat 4 Seasons and Intopool Direct, to name just a few.

Bosta were also located in Hall 5 and in addition to their fantastic new pool cleaner, announced that for 2013 they are establishing a

new state of the art European Distribution Centre in the Netherlands that will supply customers with products within 24 hours.

Coast Spas had a very busy stand and said they were delighted with the show so far. Their exhibit included a live video feed to show off their infinity edge tub plus a Ferrari red tub with controls set as the shape of a steering wheel. Other companies located around Hall 5 included Bowman with their range of heat exchangers, ITS Europe with their testing equipment, Proteus Pools and SpaEuro. A product that drew a crowd with it’s live demonstration was Pink Floor by Bluewood – an air injected moving pool floor aimed at the domestic pools’ market. It will soon be

launched in the UK and will be available through Arch Enclosures.

The enormous Hall 4, is where you could find the bigger stands and brands. SCP had a constantly busy stand which featured a display of Beachcomber hot tubs along with product demonstrations.

As you would expect, Pentair, Certikin and Astral all occupied large areas and had a variety of products on offer. Pool cover company Covrex were also in the hall along with Lonza and Dryden Aqua. As you entered the hall, on one of the smaller, but no less busy stands were Plastipack exhibiting their Geo Bubble product. Bayrol was one exhibitor that really had a lot of news. Not only did they unveil a completely new
