31 AN IN-SPA-RATIONAL WEEKEND IN HEREFORD!

As the days started to take on an autumnal chill, Hereford-based Three Counties Pools & Spas invited customers into their new showroom to sample the delights of their warm and relaxing Caldera spas.

Celebrating seven years of trading with the unveiling of swanky new premises, owners Will Welch and Emma Garrett, decided to do it in style by holding an open weekend for both new and existing customers. Their modern and contemporary premises carry the Caldera range of spas, distributed exclusively in the UK by Certikin International.

With just under 4,000 sq ft of floor space, the showroom boasts eight stunning Caldera spas: the Aventine; Martinique; Capitolo; Marino; Palatino; Salina; Cantabria and Tahitian. The Cantabria and Salina are permanently full and available for wet testing.

Emma said: “Our selection of Caldera spas is impressive by anyone’s standards – we have the largest, the smallest and some in between. In particular the Palatino received a lot of interest on the Open Weekend as it represents excellent value for money for a very spacious hot tub as did the Cantabria for its eye-catching top-of-the-

range features. I think offering wet testing is very important to customers. We actually had somebody wanting to wet test the spa whilst we were still getting the showroom ready to open at the end of August and they subsequently bought a Cantabria!”

The weekend was a resounding success. Several spas were sold, new enquiries were made and leads were taken. Over the launch weekend Three Counties and Certikin offered customers a free iPad or Bang & Olufsen iPad docking station with any spa purchased from the Utopia or Paradise series and this proved an attractive incentive.

Emma added: “We pride ourselves on taking the time to really understand the customer’s needs and aspirations so we can closely match them to the right product. All in all, we had very positive feedback from all attendees.”

Certikin’s Directors Richard Way and Ben Studdy were also on hand to answer questions and to help demonstrate the benefits of owning a Caldera spa. Ben added: “The Caldera spa offers pure comfort, relaxation and therapy and nothing beats them for a piece of affordable luxury in your own home.”

brushes have been designed to be tough yet sympathetic to the filtration media.

This is the first device on the market that uses brushes combined with highpower water jets which ensures the ‘Brush and Flush’ action not only makes for effortless yet intensive filter cleaning, deep into the cartridge pleats, but also is better for the environment because less water is used!

The Cyclone Filter Cleaner is perfectly balanced making it easy to use. Simply fit the Cyclone to the

end of a garden hose, turn the tap on and the Cyclone is ready to operate using a brushing and flushing action. This dual action cleans deeper, in less time and it prolongs the life of the filter cartridge by leaving the treated filter cartridge restored to its previous condition.

IT’S FULL STEAM AHEAD WITH THE UNIQUE HOTTUG!

Designed by Frank de Bruijn from Supergoed in the Netherlands, HotTug is as simple as it is ingenious. The product is a wood-fired hot tub that you can sail and a tug boat in which you can soak. Moving

or stationary it is ideal for carefree fun and relaxation on the water.

Frank has a soft spot for places where the natural and cultivated go hand in hand. His love of freedom, campfires, open water swimming and meals in the open air is expressed in many of his designs. “The feel of the outdoors is very important to me,” says de Bruijn. “Now the HotTug is expanding my work horizon to the water as well. “It’s much more than a boat, it’s a vessel with different options. When the tug is filled, there is only a narrow rim between you and the water, making you feel at one with your surroundings,” he adds. Frank’s long experience of wood stoves while living and working on his own barge in the port of

Rotterdam helped him to develop a wood-burning underwater stove. This is what heats the 2,000 litres of water in the HotTug to a pleasant 38°C in just a few hours.

Available to rent or buy, the hot tub boat is made from wood and fitted with glass-fibre reinforced polyester and measures 240cm x 380cm x 110cm.

The HotTug accommodates six to eight people, and is currently available in two versions.
