Spectravision, a lighting system available from Golden Coast, has been specially designed for those who want to change the look and feel of their pool to suit its use.
The lamps incorporate three LEDs – red, green and blue – allowing for a 16 colour combinations – meeting the need of any occasion, from a romantic getaway to a children’s party.
The lighting unit itself is ultra flat and can be fitted into either a standard light niche for new pools or into an existing niche for retro-fit.
Once installed, the system provides pool owners with 16 magical colours of mood lighting. A brilliant white light model is also available for customers looking for a cleaner look. Spectravision also provides the option for lighting to be changed through a selection of rhythmic lighting modes.
Suitable for use with a standard 12V AC transformer, Spectravision can be used with an optional remote control – allowing for simple on/off operation and complete management of the colour modes.
In addition, to support installers of every size, Golden Coast have developed a compact demonstration unit for the Spectravision 400 Colour.
Supplied with transformer, RCD electrical protection and plug, the system – which fits into a briefcase – allows a customer to see what the lights look like, both in and out of the pool.

FINER FILTRATION SAVES TIME AND WATER
The latest additions to Golden Coast’s innovative selection of filters and filter media bring together a host of cost, labour and water saving features. Golden Coast is the exclusive supplier of Waterco Micron Bobbin filters for the domestic
market in the UK. In addition, the company stocks the comprehensive product range specially developed for the commercial market. Uniquely, the Micron Bobbin Filters feature a fishtail lateral configuration which offers superior filtration by eliminating the ‘dead areas’ commonly associated with a traditional star design. In addition, this highly efficient design reduces the amount of water used during backwash by up to 30%. A dual function drain/large sand dump port allows for easy winterisation and sand changes, while a large clear access lid ensures easy servicing and inspections.
Further savings are offered by Waterco Glass Beads – the next generation of superior water filter media. Manufactured from 100% virgin glass, they offer much finer filtration than available alternatives –
below 3 microns – resulting in outstanding water purity and clarity. They also use 20% less water during backwash than traditional sand. Their narrow particle size – just .6mm by .8mm in size – enables superior filtration. They are spherically shaped, resulting in low friction levels and reduced backwash requirements – saving pool owners’ time and water.
Safe to handle and service, Waterco’s glass beads are installed quickly and easily. Its high purity level means that very little backwashing is required to cleanse the filter media prior to start up.
