SPN OCT 2012 ShowPreview
PISCINE 2012, LYON, FRANCE UK COMPANIES GO EXPORT
The lure of a European pool and spa industry working its way out of recession in 2013 is again a big export attraction to specialist UK companies showing off their products at Lyon in November. Piscine 2012 from November 13th to 16th is again the biggest stage for the European market place.
The importance of finding wider markets for successful UK products will again attract a wide variety of well known specialist names to a French show held every two years and which alternates with the Barcelona show. The Lyon event has in past years brought real exporting success and rewards for innovation.
• Piscine Water Test: with special demonstration pools for exhibitors to show off their products and equipment in a practical day to day setting.
• Piscine Campus: private areas dedicated to training clients and delivering press presentations. • Living Pool: a complete offering dedicated to outdoor pool development -flooring, pool houses, furniture, lighting, decoration, etc • Pool Eco Attitude: a section of the exhibition for innovative products and services with an emphasis on eco projects.
Aqualie is the only event dedicated to the design, construction, renovation and equipment of public pools, and aquatic and well-being centres. This year’s show includes a separate exhibition with 80 exhibitors from France and across the globe and forty experts leading various round table discussions on current hot topics and offering project advice and consultancy services.
Noémi Petit,Piscine’s exhibition organiser, told Swimming Pool News that what makes exhibitions such as Lyon important to the European pool and spa industry is the fact that they bring to the table an exhaustive list of suppliers who show products and brands which respond to the need for the market to change and keep on upgrading.
“We will have over 100 new products on show and these new lines are vital for the continuing re- generation of any industry. We have not chosen the slogan ‘so innovative’ for Piscine by accident. It is the exhibition that sets trend with its dedicated new product areas and Pool Vision programme, presenting the most outstanding and novel pool projects from around the world.” spn
One exhibitor told Swimming Pool News; “Lyon is always just that bit more attractive and appealing for us than Barcelona. I appreciate it has a stronger French feel but it does deliver with contacts to be made all over Europe”. Well known names among the 600 plus exhibitors will included Astral, Certikin, Pentair and Waterco to name but a few with a strong hot tub presence from Coast Spas, Vita, Caldera, Artesian, Arctic Spas and 4 SeasonSpas.
